Hi there! My name is Melisa but you can call me Meli. The heart and soul behind Meli Miller Photography LLC. I’m so excited to start this blog as a creative outlet of something that has always been inside of me: Creating. I am originally from the most beautiful country in the world, Colombia. But moved to the United States when I was 22. (In my mind I am singing 22 by T Swift) I still wonder sometimes how did I do that? And here I am, currently I am a Portrait Photographer specializing in Maternity, Newborn, and Family Portraits in Livermore, California. This has been a HUGE journey, and almost 10 years after I can say that I am FINALLY settling down; Sounds funny, haha! I have been working hard to learn how to listen to what my heart has to say. I lived in a constant pull and push with everything around me that was not allowing me to follow the wispering voice of my heart. I did not grow up believing I was able to accomplish any goals, I did not grow up believing I had any kind of talent, I did not believe in myself. But now I do! By pushing my limits, I’ve learned to embrace my true self and see the world with a fresh perspective. This has allowed me to uncover that magic that was hidden inside me and to help my clients uncover their own unique beauty and authenticity. I believe that everyone has a story to tell, and my goal is to capture it in a way that is both meaningful and visually stunning.

In this space, you’ll find insights into some of my client's stories, my photography style, tips for preparing for a photo session, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and a little of my personal journey. This blog is all about sharing the joy and beauty that comes from capturing life’s most precious moments.

A little about my photography journey:

Photography is more than just a job for me, it’s a passion that I’ve carried with me for years. From my first camera when I was 18 to now, I've learned that a great photo is not just about the picture but the emotions, stories, and memories it holds.

I specialize in maternity, newborn and family portraits, but more than that I love to show my clients how love can look like and freeze it forever

I am deeply committed to making each session a fun, relaxed, and joyful experience. For me, photography is about connection, connecting with my clients, with the moment, their story and capturing the essence of who they are.

I’m all about helping you feel confident and prepared for your photo sessions, and this blog will be your go-to resource for all things photography. You can expect to find:

I’ll be sharing practical advice to help you feel comfortable and look your best in front of the camera. Wheater is on a session of yourself or with your family, your baby or your children I want you to experience the feeling of love during the time that you are in front of my lens.
